So, it’s September and you need a good excuse to buy flowers for the love of your life. We always say you don’t need a reason to buy somebody flowers, but September is pretty void of any holidays so we dug around and discovered some lesser known, off-beat holidays you can use an an excuse to buy flowers. This has got to be one of our favorite holidays; September 4th is Eat an Extra Dessert Day. We asked around and were just shocked that more people didn't celebrate this fine day. The best way to celebrate this day is to skip dinner and eat your desserts while admiring the fresh flowers you received to commemorate the holiday.      

September 19th, which happens to fall on a Friday this year, is Talk Like a Pirate Day. What could be more fun than spending the day uttering phrases like “argh” and “shiver me timbers?” How about thanking your significant other for the flowers they bought in a pirate voice.

This September 24, we shall honor every lowly comma, misused semicolon and over-enthusiastic exclamation point on Punctuation Day. On this day, the best, thing; that will-happen to you: is you will receive some (beautiful) flowers!!

September 24th is Hug a Vegetarian Day. This one is a little tough as not everybody might know an actual vegetarian. There is a simple solution if this is the case. Instead of trying to find a vegetarian in your city to hug, you can simply send flowers to known vegetarian Rose Byrne. We are sure she will love them.
